VELscope

Dr. Andrews’ office features the VELscope System, which is a hand-held device that provides dentists and hygienists an aid in the early detection of oral cancer. The VELscope examination is non-invasive, painless, and takes only minutes. A blue light is shined into the patient’s mouth, creating a fluorescence that allows Dr. Andrews a better visual of abnormal tissue that may be, or may lead to, oral cancer.
